My midnight gripes

It all started with Tigger. When he first introduced his saying T.T.F.N. (Ta Ta For Now). Even then, to me, it was slightly annoying. Soon came TGIF and now it has migrated into everything from television to blogs and texts.
I was reading a blog yesterday and realized one of my biggest pet peeves. So if you do this on your blog, please don't take offense. :) It just bugs me...
Tell me if you can understand this.
"So, today was a busy day. It was Cs birthday so R took A to buy a present for him. Z and I stayed home and made a delish cake. It was an awesome party! Y even came home from college to surprise C....."
So who the heck is C? Is R your child? Is there a reason your families names spell out CRAZY? Even though I may know your family, I don't want to have to continue to scroll down to see each of your kids names. To me, abbreviating your families names to the first letter is almost dehumanizing. If I come across a blog like this, I refuse to read it. It makes NO sense to me. Take 2 more minutes to spell out your families names. Seriously.
I can totally understand doing this if your name is Adolph Blaine Charles David Earl Frederick Gerald Hubert Irvim John Kenneth Loyd Martin Nero Oliver Paul Quincy Randolph Sherman Thomas Uncas Victor Willian Xerxes Yancy Zeus (The longest name in the world...) Notice how all the first letters are in order of the alphabet. Shorten his name to Adolph. :) I would still understand who the heck you were talking about.
Okay, so does anyone agree with me? Or am I just way out in left field by myself here?

For me, it's not that I'm being lazy. It's about protecting my little family. I'm still a little leary about the wide wide world of web when it comes to my little ones. I just don't want to paste their names all over the place. It probably doesn't make a difference, but I feel better about it. That's just me.

haha... I know what you mean 'M'... I did talk with my sister-in-law about this, and she has a sister who always abreviates to the first letter... same reason as the comment left above. Just to protect the family. I personally am okay with putting full names, I'm just cautious about giving out phone number/address, or making sure my phone/address don't show up in a picture I'm taking! :)

Okay, this is hilarious! It kind of bugs me too. Maybe they should make their blog private? Anyway, sorry it's taken me so long to write ya. Busy weekend. I'm thrilled about winning! I'm e-mailing you.

Hey! I found your blog through Mindy's. I LOVE digi scrapping, too. It was fun to look at some of your stuff. It's been great running into you on occasion. We used to have a hobo problem, but we did an elimination kit and I can now function normally in my house again. Good luck.
