A moment in the life of the Johnsons

Grant loves to jabber, Grace loves to watch Little Einsteins, Grant is army crawling around the house, and Grace loves to talk. :) This is our life! {and we love it!}
I love Grace's dance, Grants smile, Grace's poses, and her "Turn the phone back to me!"

Far Away

I am struggling a bit about Blakes new assignment. He is going to be in the 27th Special Operations Support Squadron. He was told he would be deployed as soon as he is Mission Ready.
On the 27th SOSS website, they say this...
"Members of the SOSS continually deploy as expeditionary combat Airmen to contingencies throughout the world, including Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. Additionally, 27th SOSS Airmen deploy in support of training exercises world-wide."
I had always been told that intelligence guys don't get deployed... and if by some off chance they do, they will be gone for just a little while, and they will be totally safe... I guess they didn't take into account an intel guy being put into a "Spec Ops" squadron.
This video really hits home, and I thought I would share.

At the car wash!

Working at the car wash, yeah!
We went to the car wash and while daddy was washing the car, Grace and I had a blast with the camera and music.

I love my baby girl

Grace is adorable. She is so fun. She is so cute. This is why:
Well, that is one of many reasons. She has started this new thing. Whenever someone leaves and then comes back, she says 'Your back _____ (insert name here)'. Its so cute.I also love my husband. He is so perfect. He is a great friend, husband, and dad.
I have been super busy doing photo shoots lately. It has been so fun, and will hopefully earn me some good money :).

Islam is the Light

When you buy your children toys, I am sure you aren't too worried about the type of message that the toy can bring. Especially if the toy is something as innocent as a baby doll. Well, I have never worried about what the underlying message could be in the toys I buy Gracie.
For her birthday, we bought her a Mattel's Little Mommy Cuddle 'n Coo doll. This cute doll giggles, says "mama", moves and babbles and is even motion activated. She has had it for a couple of weeks now, and plays with it all the time. My sister called me the other day and asked what type of doll Gracie got for her birthday. I told her and she asked me to listen to the doll when it is 'babbling'. She wouldn't tell me what it said, just that it was something that a baby shouldn't say. We listened and the first time caught the word 'Light'. The next time my grandma said, Islam? Islam is the light?!? Well, sure enough, this innocent looking baby says some serious propaganda.
Here is a video that I found on youtube. This is exactly what her baby sounds and looks like. See if you can figure out where it says it....

So I called the company. I was outraged. They assure me that it doesn't say this and that “The sound is compressed into an inexpensive speaker, so sounds may be imprecise... they also claim that the doll’s only scripted word is “Mama.” They blame the doll’s cheap speakers for distorting the soundtrack. And they also blame the power of suggestion - in that people are being told what to listen for.

You decide. Is this some strange propaganda or is it one serious misunderstanding?

Ballroom Dancing

Hey everyone! My whole family was on the news last night in Idaho. Check it out here! :)
(I can't figure out how to post the video here...) Anyway, Heather is my older sister (the one talking) And Matthew was the one standing next to Heather (He is my younger brother) and Nathan (the one talking) is my other younger brother. Megan is one of the girls dancing, but not the one dancing with Nathan. She does a solo during the piece. I am pretty excited about it! :)
Congrats Matthew, Heather, Megan and Nathan :)

Our Little Shopper

Hey everyone! We were at Fred Meyers the other day, and Grace decided that she wanted to push the cart! She is one silly girl! Here is the video of her pushing it. (I am so not a good camera person... I can't hold it still... just so you know :D hehe.)

Anyway, we are trying to get moved now, and it is so super stressful! Because Blake is going to be gone for training and work and stuff, I get to pack up the house all by myself.
Yesterday was my last day of work, and it was SO sad. I loved my job, and knowing that I don't get to work there anymore is super sad.

Blakes older sister, Andrea, and her family are here from Pasco, WA. We don't get to see them often, so it was exciting for Grace to see her two cousins again. Andrea is pregnant with a little boy, and we are super excited about that as well!

(This is Blakes other sister, Natalie, with Savannah, Dakotah, Blake and Grace. Aren't they cute?!)

They have a dog named Cuddles. Grace chased it around all weekend yelling 'Uppy, Uppy!' It was so cute. She loves that dog.
(That dog doesn't love her though! :D)
Well, I am super procrastinating this whole moving process. I better go start...

See you all later!

Too Cute

This is a video of Grace, trying to put an M&M into an empty Pepsi can. She is so stinkin' cute! I love how excited she gets! She can't figure out where it went after she finally does get it in. :) Too Cute, Too Cute!

My computer is so slow and it took a minute to load, so I am not sure about regular computers. If you just let it completely after pushing 'play', it saves a ton of time :D. (Ooops!) Oh, and leave a comment if you would and tell me how long it took your computer to load it... :) thanks!
