My savings this week

So, I have been getting requests to show my savings this week at WalGreens. So, here it is:

First Transaction:
$14.99 Bayer breeze meter
-$30 Bayer coupon (from 3/1 or 3/22 RP inserts) coupon will need to be adjusted down
=$1.03 out of pocket got $5 RR from Bayer

Second Transaction:
$14.99 Bayer breeze
$2.19 ecotrin aspirin
-$30 bayer coupon (from 3/1 or 3/22 RP inserts) coupon will need to be adjusted down
-$2.25 ecotrin printable coupon will need to be adjusted down
=$1.20 out of pocket got $5 RR from Bayer

Third Transaction:
$5.99 1 Rembrandt toothpaste
$7.00 2 TRESemme 24 Hour Body Hair Care
-$ 2.00 this TRESemme coupon twice
Used $10 RR from Bayer meters
=1.09 out of pocket - got $6.00 RR from Rembrandt & $2 RR from TRESemme

Fourth Transaction
$10.00 2 Got2B products
$0.39 candy bar (filler)
-$2.00 this Got2B coupon
Used Rembrandt & TRESemme RR
=0.59 OOP - received 5.00 RR from Got2B
Total spent out of pocket: $3.91
Total amount of product bought: $54.56
Total Saved: $50.65
Total RR left over: $5.00

And today, I will be using my RR to get Nivia body wash (on sale for $4.99) and I will receive a $5 RR.

The savings just keep on rolling!

(Note: for those of you who are first timers to Walgreens, the RR can be used with any product. BUT, if you want your RR from the product you are buying, you can't use the same RR from that company. For example:
If I went and bought the Nivia body wash for $4.99 and recieved my $5 RR, I can't go back and get the Nivia body wash with the $5 RR and get another $5 RR. But I can get the Nivia RR and buy the Rembrandt toothpaste with the RR and get the $6 RR from Rembrandt because I used the Nivia RR, and not a Rembrandt RR. Make sense?

Step by step freebie guide

Want to get some free stuff today? Here is what you should do.
Firstly, print off these coupons...

*Huggies 16-ct. travel sized baby wipes priced at $0.97
Get a $1/1 Huggies bath and body product HERE
FREE after coupon!
{Most of the time, it is on the front page. Sometimes you have to scroll through the find it.}

*Glucerna Cereal priced at or around $3.92
Get a $5/1 printable HERE
FREE after coupon!
{This one takes a minute to fill out, but is worth the time. You get around a dollar overage, which can go towards the tax and your other groceries...}

DenTek Floss Picks priced at $1
Get the $1/1 printable coupon here
(Same site as the huggies coupon.)
FREE after coupon!

Kotex LightDays Pads priced at $1

$2/2 printable
2 FREE after coupon!

Okay. So after you have downloaded all of the coupons and printed them off, go back and print them all again (besides the Glucerna, cause you can only print one of that one).
Now. Go to WalMart...

In the toothpaste isle, find the floss picks. They are either blue or green and they are priced at a dollar. Grab one of them.
Now, go to the pad & tampon section. Along the bottom where Kotex stuff is, are some pads that are priced at a dollar. They are small packages and they say light days or something on them. Grab two of them.

Next, go to the trial size area (where you can get mini toothpaste, ect...) In there, there should be some Huggies baby wipes. They are green and say something about cucumber something or other. They are priced at a dollar each. Grab one of those.

Now, in front of the pharmacy, there is a diabetes section. There are boxes of Glucerna cereal. There is strawberry, almond, and something else. Grab any one you want. (this one is important, even if you don't eat it, get it, it will have them owing you money)

Now, go to the check out. Find a cashier that looks friendly. Not some old ornery lady or guy. Usually a teenager or young person are better at not being coupon Nazis.

Now, this first transaction should have them owe you money (if you didn't do any other shopping)... Grab a candy bar, a soda or something to push it over the negative mark.
If you have any problems with them taking coupons, point out what you bought with what the coupon goes to. Usually this only happens if you run into a coupon Nazi.

Yay! You got a bunch of free stuff. Now, make sure that you go back with the other coupons and do it again. You can do it the same day, or just the next time you go back to the store.

I will keep you updated on all of the free stuff I come across.

The coupon revolution

Well, I started last month. I clip coupons from all the Sunday papers. (I only buy one at the moment, but I will eventually start buying more). I find deals online. And I am a frequent visitors of the following sites:
Swag Grabber
Nichole's Nickles
Common Sense with Money
Deal Seeking Mom
Stretching a Buck

I watch and learn from the pros of these sites. They are amazing women who save hundreds each shopping trips by spending time each day clipping coupons and searching for deals.

Here is how I got my deals from Wal*Mart today:

Johnson’s Buddies Soaps

How I got this deal: Right now at Wal*mart, the soap bars are $0.98.

There are coupons for $1 off any 1, $2 off any 2, or $3 off any 3 Johnson Buddies soaps.

I used the $2 off 2 soaps (because my Wal*mart was very low on the soaps.) and bought two. Next time, I will use another one...

FREE after coupon! (get the coupon here)

Glucerna coupon for 5.00 off any cereal. The cereal only cost 3 something, so I used the coupon and actually got 2.00 overage. You may get the overage, but most of the time you won't. We were just lucky. Get the coupon HERE

The kashi entree was a snail mail coupon that I got off of the Kashi website. I don't think they are offering this promotion anymore.

And lastly the Ranch dressing coupon was from this weeks (3/29) newspaper. It was for $1.50 off any Ranch dressing. Right now, Wal*Mart has them on sell for 1.58. That means you pay 0.08 cents for a bottle of dressing. :)

I know that these were easy deals, but I just start out small and hopefully will get going and get a coupon stockpile like these other coupon clippers have. I only have about 3 weeks worth of coupons, some of them expiring soon, but paired with sells and other coupons, they are very valuable. :)

I hope this helps. If not... go to the above websites. They are amazing and they explain how they get the great deals. Some of the deals you won't be able to get, because they are coupons from months before, but as you stock pile, you will have the coupons needed for the great deals. :)

When I was checking out, the store ended up owing me 64 cents. The checker was amazed. So we bought two candybars so we wouldn't have to get a manager to come over. (We waited for quite a while, but we just decided to get something to even it out, so we wouldn't have to wait anymore.)

My Wal*mart shopping trip

So I have officially jumped on the bandwagon. Coupon clippers unite! I went shopping today. I spent $0.37. Here is a photo of my treasures.
Here is a list of things that I got:
Kashi Chicken Florentine meal $2.99
Kraft Ranch dressing $1.58
2 Reese's candy bars $0.50 each
2 Johnsons buddies soap $0.98 each
1 box of Glucerna cereal $3.98
=$11.51

Coupons:
$2.00 off 2 Johnsons Buddies soap products
1 free Kashi meal
$1.50 off Kraft dressing
$5.00 off Glucerna ceral
= $11.49 in savings
+ 0.36 in tax

$0.38

awesome!

Wanna know how I got the coupons and the savings? Stay tuned... :)
