The Hunger Games- book review

REVIEW:
Book: The Hunger Games
Author: Suzanne Collins
Series?: Yes
Genere: Young Adult/Science Fiction
Would I recommend?: Yes!!

I loved this book. I have read it twice, and even the second time, it was an intense and great read.
This series is set in the ruins of North America, in what is known as the nation of Panem. Panem consists of a powerful and shining Capitol surrounded by twelve districts. After an uprising, the Capitol cruelly keeps the districts in line by forcing them each to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen, to participate in the annual Hunger Games. The Games are a fight to the death, broadcasted on live TV. The Capitol forces all citizens to watch and celebrate these children gladiators, including the families and loved ones of the participants.
Only one can survive.
This fast paced book is a must read for everyone!
The Hunger Games is followed by another heart racing book, Catching Fire, and the final book in the series, MockingJay.

Hunger Games

 a must read.
as is catching fire and mockingjay

just so you know.

Blue Bloods

I just finished the Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz... Currently there are four books: Blue Bloods, Masquerade, Revelations, and The Van Alen Legacy. The fifth book, Misguided Angel is set to be released Fall 2010 and the sixth book, Wolf Pact is set to be released Spring 2011.
The books are about young vampires set in a ritzy Manhattan.
REVIEW:
Book: Blue Bloods
Author: Melissa de la Cruz
Series?: Yes
Genere: Young Adult/Science Fiction
Would I recommend?: Yes

I enjoyed reading this series, I am glad that there are 2 more books set to be released. I seem to have been reading a ton of Science Fiction lately, but I did enjoy this series. It, like the UGLIES, is written for young adults, and you can definitely tell, but I still found myself getting lost in the story. The book was a bit lacking for those who want a deep story, but it was a good book to get lost in.

UGLIES

I have been reading like crazy lately, and I thought I would share what I have been reading and if I would recommend. I am trying to figure more books to read, so if you have any ideas, let me know!

I don't want to really tell you about the book, because I hate reading reviews that give the book away.

The latest book/series I have been reading is called UGLIES by Scott Westerfeld. I have only read the first one (UGLIES) but I am so excited to go check out the next couple from the library today. It is set in a future world in which everyone is turned "Pretty" by extreme cosmetic surgery upon reaching age 16.
Onto the review:
Book: UGLIES
Author: Scott Westerfeld
Series?: Yes - a trilogy
Genere: Young Adult/Science Fiction
Would I recommend?: Yes!

The book is definetly written for young adults, the writing style set for teens. I still enjoyed the story and the concept of the book.

The End

I finally finished the book. Yep. I'm done with all 756 pages of Breaking Dawn. I know. I'm a nerd. Don't know what the heck I'm talking about? Click here...
Anyway, that is why I have not been updating my websites lately. I have had my nose in the book.
On Saturday morning, we went garage selling and I bought another naughty purchase... I got a Pentax *ist D digital camera. I have dabbled in photography for some time now and am now seriously excited about getting back into it.

It was a little more than I am proud of saying, (erm... $100...) but I am pretty darn excited about it.

ITS COMING!!

I am so dang excited about the release of the final book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn. Does Bella become a vampire? Do her and Edward end up together? Hopefully we will find out all of this and more in Stephany Meyers new book, Breaking Dawn.
I am definitely going to be at Wal*Mart at midnight to pick up my copy!!

Books

I need a really super good book to read. Any suggestions? I like fiction and nonfiction, romance and comedy, religious and otherwise.
I have read all of the John Grisham and all of the Mary Higgins Clark books... :) Just so you all know :D... Oh, and all of the to the right (at the bottom of my self you can click next and see the next page of books) I have read as well, and I recommend them to everyone!
Well, the people who were going to come look at our house have to work tomorrow, so I guess we are going to have to wait another week to show it. :( Sigh...
OK, so we have always had a queen size bed, but my parents are getting a new bed, so they gave us their king! We put it up in our room, although it hardly fit! (but Blake and Jason muscled it up the stairs :) ) and it is SO nice! Its HUGE! And, Blake's mom gave us a king size comforter for Christmas, so we are all set!
Grace has been incredibly ornery this past couple of days, I think she is teething. I hope its not just a horrible phase!
Well, its late, and I am so tired. See you all later!
